Columns Displayed
Select the Columns Displayed tab to choose which attributes are shown on the Results page and the order in which their columns are shown.
To choose display attributes and set their order of display:
- From the CMDB search page, any time after CI Types have been selected, click the Output tab. The Output page is displayed.
The Columns Displayed tab is deactivated until at least one CI Type has been selected for the search.
- In the Available Attributes field, click on the attribute or attributes that you want to see in the output on the Results page. You can choose multiple attributes at one time using the combination of Shift+left mouse button or Ctrl+left mouse button.
- Click the top arrow button next to the field to move your selection(s) into the Attributes to Return field. You can add additional attributes at any time by highlighting them and using the top arrow button. You can also move attributes out of this field by using the second arrow button between the two fields.
- To change the order of the columns in which the attributes are displayed, click on an attribute in the Attributes to Return field and then use the up and down arrow buttons located below the lower right-hand corner of the field.
- Use the Sort on Attributes fields to determine the order in which data is displayed in the rows. Select the attributes on which you want the results sorted in the Sortable Attributes field. You can choose multiple attributes at one time using the combination of Shift+left mouse button or Ctrl+left mouse button.
- In the Sorted On field, use the arrow buttons located below the lower right-hand corner of the field to change the order of the attributes (sorting is done on the top attribute first, the second attribute second, etc.) and the whether the attributes are sorted in ascending or descending order. Click on an attribute and use the single-arrow buttons to move the attribute up or down in the order. Click on an attribute and use the double-arrow button to change whether that attribute is sorted in ascending or descending order. An arrow symbol next to the attribute name indicates the current direction (ascending or descending) in which the attribute is sorted.
