Creating a Master Contact Record
Creating a Master Contact Record is simpler than creating
a new contact. To
create a Master Contact Record, use the following procedure::
- Select Address
Book from the FootPrints
Toolbar. The
Address Book Homepage is displayed.
- Select
Create
Master Contact Record from the Address Book Toolbar. The
Create
New Master Contact Record page is displayed.
- Enter the data in
the appropriate fields. For
example, if you are using a field named "Company"
for lookup, enter the name of the company in the Company
field.
- To update all records
that have a matching Master Contact Key, check the Update Contacts checkbox.
This updates
all of the records that have the same value in the Master Contact Key
with the same data in the contact fields.
- Click the
GO button. The
Master Contact Record has been created.
The Master Contact Record is only available for FootPrints
Address Book users.
