Main Frame
The Address Book contacts are listed in the main frame.
- The contacts are
sorted alphabetically on the first field. By default, this is Last
Name,but any field
can be set as the first field, such as Company,
Department,
User
ID, etc.
- Clicking the hypertext
link for a letter (A,
B,
C,
etc.) brings you to the contacts for that letter.
- The top frame contains
a quick search facility, which allows you to quickly search the Address
Book for a contact name.
- If the Address Book
is either LDAP or Dynamic SQL-based, the Address Book Homepage contains
a search window. FootPrints
does not support browsing of contacts by letter or page when using LDAP
and Dynamic SQL. Many
organizations have large contact databases with various response times,
so these browsing options are removed from the interface to prevent time-outs.
